Reminding the investment world that healthcare funds are still flowing

OrbiMed is one of the largest dedicated healthcare investment firms and invests globally across the healthcare industry, from start-ups to large multinational corporations, through a range of private equity funds, public equity funds and royalty/credit funds. 

Despite its established history, OrbiMed had little media presence until engaging with Cogenta to announce the firm’s latest round of funds. At a time when venture investment in healthcare was slowing down, OrbiMed raised more than $4.3 billion across three private investment funds, which made the firm attractive to biotech and healthcare reporters.


Given OrbiMed’s global presence and diverse investment vehicles, the firm wanted visibility across a range of industries and markets. Cogenta recommended a broad media outreach campaign that resulted in in-depth feature stories running across a spectrum of outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Endpoints News, Fierce Biotech, Axios and more. We secured more than 58 stories and landed a headlining speaking role at Endpoints News’ event during the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference.
